Inside Out

“Inside out” is a series representing the duality of human beings and their hidden feelings. There are hidden images on the drawings, one of which can be seen by flipping the drawing upside down.

The portrait is created by slipping the subject’s face in two and drawing them on the opposite sides. The idea is show that no one is never really just “one,” NO ONE has a perfectly symmetric face, which means that when you look at each side separately, you will find that they almost always look like a different person.

“Inside out” (the original) is a large drawing that measures 22 x 28 inches (including the mat). It is black and white charcoal on gray paper. Prints available for sale upon request.

Inspired by Matt Noveskey, the following is an interpretation of his face. It is not meant to look exactly like him.
